LATIN ORATORY
Students must recite from memory a passage assigned for their grade level. Judges will consider pronunciation, voice quality, memorization and dramatic impact. Students may use a prompter.

ENGLISH DRAMATIC INTERPRETATION
Students may choose for presentation any passage in English that is related to the classics -- a translation of something classical or a passage from a work based on a classical or mythological theme. No minimum length is required, but the presentation may not exceed five minutes. Students will be judged on the classical relevancy of the selection, enunciation, poise and dramatic impact

LATIN SIGHT READING (high school entrants only)
On the day of Latin Olympics, two person teams will receive the script of a skit written in Latin. After studying the script for five minutes, students will interpret the scene for the judge.
